The Theological and Ecumenical Department works on the promotion of the theological reflection and dialogue among the different Churches in the Middle East. It is also involved in the ongoing theological and ecumenical dialogues and programs on the international level, through a network of relations and partnership with the WCC, REO’s, Vatican, GCF and other ecumenical bodies or organizations.

MECC is committed to dialogue and activities which support interfaith relations, equitable citizenship and harmonious co-existence among different people of diverse faith traditions… The Theological and Ecumenical Department is providing all MECC departments with theological foundation and spiritual tools in order to accomplish this objective, as well as providing studies and reflection to spread the theological and ecumenical awareness.

Our Programs & Projects:

تعمل دائرة الشؤون اللّاهوتيّة والعلاقات المسكونيّة على تعزيز الفكر اللّاهوتي والحوار بين الكنائس المختلفة في الشرق الأوسط. وتشارك الدائرة بشكل مستمرّ في الحوارات والبرامج اللّاهوتيّة والمسكونيّة على المستوى الدولي، من خلال شبكة من العلاقات والشراكة مع "مجلس الكنائس العالميّ"، "المنظّمة المسكونيّة الإقليميّة"، "الفاتيكان"، "المنتدى المسيحيّ العالميّ" ... وغيرها من الهيئات والمنظّمات المسكونيّة.

يلتزم مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط بالحوار والأنشطة الّتي تدعم التواصل والعلاقات بين الأديان، كما والتساوي في المواطنة والتعايش المتناغم بين مختلف الناس ذوي التقاليد الدينيّة المتنوّعة... لذا، تزوّد دائرة الشؤون اللّاهوتيّة والمسكونيّة كلّ دوائر المجلس بالأسس اللّاهوتيّة والأدوات الروحيّة. كما تقدّم الدراسات والتأملّات لنشر الوعي اللّاهوتي والمسكوني لدى كلّ من دائرة الدياكونيّة ودائرة التواصل والعلاقات العامة.
