Dear partners and friends of the Middle East Council of Churches;
You all know that we witness today unprecedented situation, due to the earthquake that hit the Antiochian Levant and left behind millions of people that live without roof and witnessed displacement over displacement. It is easy to talk about the situation, but how if we are one of those who lost a child or a wife or a husband or who became totally homeless and destitute? Our people are tired of finding ways to preserve their resiliency and stand before many hardship conditions they faced over twelve years of protracted crises in Syria. Our people have lost souls and stones and hope as well as the desire to dream, all what they want is to spend the rest of their lives in peace, stability and dignity which equals life. Therefore, we ask you to join hands and support us to bring hope and smile to each suffering and sad face.
We are confident that our appeal will reach hearts and souls.
Whatever your contribution would be, it will make a change.

كما تعلمون، أنّنا نشهد اليوم ظروفًا غير مسبوقة جرّاء الزلزال الّذي ضرب شمال المشرق الأنطاكي. ملايين من الأشخاص أصبحوا من دون سقف آمن يحميهم أو باتوا يعانون مجدّدًا من التهجير. كما أنّ كثر فقدوا طفلًا أو زوجة أو زوجًا...
لطالما عانت شعوبنا من أجلِ إيجاد سُبل للحفاظ على كيانها ومواجهة العديد من الظّروف الصّعبة الّتي عانت منها على مدى اثني عشرعامًا بسبب الأزمات الّتي ما زالت تستفحل في سوريا. خسرت شعوبنا أحبّاء وممتلكات وحتّى آمالها وأحلامها، وبات هدفها الوحيد هو عيش ما تبقّى من حياتها بسلام واستقرار وكرامة وعدل.
لنتكاتف معًا ونستجيب لنداء مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط عبر دعمه لإعادة الأمل والفرح إلى قلوب المعوّزين والمحزونين. ونحن واثقون من أنّ النداء سيحقّق نتائج إيجابيّة مهما كانت المساهمة.
